Johan Pas. Artists’ Publications: The Belgian Contribution @ CIAP Hasselt 11/03

At CIAP, Hasselt there will be an Artist book publication of Johan Pas.

As CIAP writes on their website:

Johan Pas
guides us through his recent book on artist publications in Belgium, the first study devoted to books and magazines by Belgian artists. He starts his story with the early avant-gardes of the late 19th and early 20th century, and then focuses on the golden period of the 60s and 70s, to finish with the recent revival of the artist’s book. Along the way, he also looks at the publications of Guy Bleus.

Johan Pas (1963) is an art historian, author and exhibition maker. His research area is the exhibition and publication history of the 20th century avant-gardes. He published various articles and books about it. His most recent book is Artists’ Publications: The Belgian Contribution (Koenig Books, 2017). In 2015 he founded CRAP, the Collection for Research on Artists’ Publications.
